"Food at the Speed of Bike"
The mission of the Pedal Powered Farmers Market is to create a connection of where our food is grown through cycling from farm to farm. With this in mind MEC is helping to raise funds for Madrona Farms. Madrona Farm’s is in danger of being lost forever. With the help of the Land Conservancy of BC (TLC) they are working to raise $2,500,000 to protect the land. Once TLC holds title, the property will be inalienable and can never be sold. The farm, its uses for local, sustainable food production and conservation of biodiversity, will be protected by the Constitution of TLC. This will ensure the purposes of the FoMF are met in perpetuity. Here’s to Pedal Power!
